Wild About Flowers for What Will You Stamp?

I love stamping flowers and am always so happy when the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog has a challenge stamp set containing flowers.  This week we are using Wild About Flowers which is easy two-step stamping...stems on one stamp and flowers on another.  Fortunately, this set is photopolymer which makes lining things up a breeze.

My color combo today is Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.  I stamped a test image using full strength Blackberry Bliss ink but was much happier with the look of a second generation stamping.  Second generation stamping is when you ink up your stamp, stamp onto a scrap piece of paper and then (without reinking) stamp onto your project.  This makes for a much softer look and that is what I wanted.  In order to make the flowers pop I covered them with Crystal Effects.  What do you think?

Thanks Stampin' Up! for another great flower stamp set.
Here is a look at the full set.
I wonder what the rest of the Design Team is sharing today over at What Will You Stamp?  Let's check it out.

Circle of Spring for What Will You Stamp?

Happy First Day of Spring!!!!

Wait a minute...Not so fast...I just read that Spring started early this year.
Sunday, March 20th at 12:30 AM to be precise.
Something about the Equinox and Leap Year, but who cares.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!!!!

Over at the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog we are celebrating the first day of spring using the Circle of Spring stamp set.  I love coloring so this was a good choice for me.
I wanted the spring wreath to be the focal point so I created a card with simple lines.

I stamped with Black Stazon onto Watercolor Paper and then colored the wreath using a Blender Pen and our Stampin' Write Markers.  I scribbled the markers onto an acrylic block and picked up the color with the Blender Pen.  Such an easy way to get a soft look.

This stamp set contains quite a few sentiments that fit perfectly inside the wreath circle and you can see those below.
I just know the Design Team is going to have some awesomeness to share over at the  What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog so don't forget to check it out.

I hope you will also take the opportunity to play along with us.  Just make your own project/card using the stamp set of the week and post it to the WWYS blog.  You could win a chance to be a guest designer on a future challenge.  I look forward to seeing your creations.  What do you have to lose?

Balloon Celebration for What Will You Stamp?

Who doesn't love balloons!!!!!
They're everywhere from birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, circuses, and so much more.

The challenge this week over at What Will You Stamp? has us using Balloon Celebration from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  Balloon Celebration can be purchased as a bundle which includes the stamp set and the balloon punch.  Can you say Hooray!!!

I wanted to make another quick and simple card this week, but once it was finished I felt it needed a little bit of somethin'.

That somethin' turned out to be Crystal Effects.
I took another photo on an angle so you could see the shine that Crystal Effects gives to the balloon.  It took some extra time to get to the finished product because I had to wait for it to dry, but I love how it turned out.  Hope you do too.

Such an adorable stamp set that will cover so many occasions.
Guess that's why it's in the Occasions Catalog.  lol
Let's go check out what the What Will You Stamp? Design Team has to share this week.

Over The Rainbow for What Will You Stamp?

Happy First Monday of March!!!  So glad you could join me today for another installment of the What Will You Stamp? Challenge.  I purchased "Over The Rainbow' as soon as it came out in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog last June, but sorry to say it hasn't seen any ink until now.  I know, I know, I know.  (Hanging my head in shame here).  LOL

I kept my card pretty simple by cutting strips of primary colored cardstock to create a rainbow look and colored in the word with the matching Stampin' Write Markers.  The colors I used are shown in the supply list below.

Here is my super quick and easy card.  Hope you like it.

There are lots of possibilities with this stamp set and I can't wait to see what the What Will You Stamp? Design Team is sharing this week.

I used the following products in the creation of my card:
