The temperatures here in Jacksonville have dropped from the mid 90's into the high 80's so that must mean that fall is almost here. LOL Our challenge this week was to use the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and I chose to make my card with fall colors. Of course I won't be seeing the leaves actually change colors here. In my memories of home in Pennsylvania is the only place I can see those turning leaves and hear the crunch when walking thru the fallen leaves.
I sponged three squares with Crushed Curry ink, stamped the leaf with Black Memento and colored them with Stampin' Write Markers in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry. I cut 1/4" strips of coordinating cardstock and another strip of Gold Foil, glued the strips onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and then ran that thru the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. The final touch was to add a tiny bow using the Gold Cording Trim. Hope you like my creation this week.
Lighthearted Leaves has some amazing leaf images and sentiments. You can make some beautiful projects when you pair these leaves up with the Leaflets Framelits.
Our Design Team at the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog is amazingly talented so make sure to check back there to see what they designed this week.
