Picture Perfect for What Will You Stamp?

Picture Perfect is the challenge set over at What Will You Stamp? this week.  I decided to use the starfish image and create a "picture perfect" scene and the finished product reminds me of a tropical island beach somewhere.  I had to put my little sandcastle in for a fun touch on this first photo.  All we need now is a nice cold beverage and relax the day away.  lol

I combined several stamp sets today and this photo shows the details a little better.
Are you ready to dip your toes in the water yet?

Here's a peek at the complete stamp set.

I just know the rest of the Design Team is going to have some wonderful projects to share with you so don't forget to head back to What Will You Stamp? and check it out.

I used the following products on my beach scene card today:
Heat Tool
[129053]
$30.00

If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like to receive a copy of the current catalog please don't hesitate to contact me.  I'd be happy to assist you with your stamping needs.

Lovely as a Tree for What Will You Stamp?

Week 39 at the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog has finally brought us to the beautiful Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  This set has been in the Stampin' Up! catalog for as long as I can remember and is still a favorite among customers and demonstrators and I hope it never goes away.

My image piece was created by stamping ink pads directly onto an acrylic block, then spritzing the block with water and stamping on Whisper White.  I actually used Blackberry Bliss ink but once it mixed with the Marina Mist it came out looking more like Rich Razzleberry so that is what I used for the card base.  Once the piece was dry I stamped the trees and trimmed to the size I wanted.  I hope you like the way it turned out.
Check out all the beautiful images in this set and you will see why it is so popular.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the other Design Team members at the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog have created this week.

I used the following products to create today's card:

Please contact me if I can help you with any of your Stampin' Up! needs.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  I'll see you again soon.

Wood You Be Mine?

Happy New Year and welcome to the January 2015 Jacksonville Starz Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Monique Zimmer's blog.

The theme for this month is Valentine's Day and I decided to make a card with one of the cute new stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog that goes live on January 6th.  I combined Wood You Be Mine? with Lovely as a Tree to create my card.
Don't you just love this ruggedly handsome lumberjack.  LOL

Directions for my card:
  • Old Olive cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 for card base
  • Rich Razzleberry cut 5 1/4 x 4
  • Whisper White cut 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
  • Whisper White 2 x 1 1/2 for sentiment
  • Rich Razzleberry 2 1/8 x 1 5/8
  • Old Olive 2 1/4 x 1 3/4
  • Whisper White 3 x 2 1/2 for lumberjack
  • Whisper White 3 3/4 x 2 for tree
  • Use Old Olive ink and stamp a row of tree tops onto the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock.  Use Rich Razzleberry to mat this piece and then glue it to the Old Olive card base.
  • Using Memento Black ink stamp the sentiment and the lumberjack on the appropriate Whisper White cardstock pieces.  Use Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive cardstock to mat the sentiment.
  • Color the lumberjack using Blendabilities and cut him out.
  • Use Old Olive ink and stamp the tree on Whisper White.  Sketch in the tree trunk with a Crumb Cake Blendabilities marker and cut the tree out.
  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the sentiment, the tree and the lumberjack.
  • Using the Heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, punch out a Rich Razzleberry heart and attach it to the sentiment with a Stampin' Dimensional.
