With the discontinuation of the Stampin' Up! Blendabilities I was forced to go back and use an old technique to color the blossoms from Indescribable Gift. I love how my card turned out and hope you do too!!!
I embossed the blossoms in white onto watercolor paper and then used an Aqua Painter and Strawberry Slush ink to flood the blossoms with color. Gotta say I'm really going to miss Strawberry Slush when it retires on June 2nd as it is part of the In Color 2013-2015 collection.
I started out by spritzing the watercolor paper to get it wet and then picked up some ink with the Aqua Painter and dabbed it into the center of the blossom and allowed it to spread. The embossed edges do a pretty good job of keeping the ink inside each petal (provided you don't use too much water). I colored each petal individually. I admit it takes a little extra time to do this, but I think it's oh so worth it.
